GETSIZE Version 2 Release 0 This is a little utility I wrote to tell me how much space all the files within a directory take up. I seem to move things around a lot on my system, and didn't know of a way to determine how much space was needed to move a directory to another hard drive. This solves that problem. NOTE: Previous users - This version is VASTLY improved over the previous version - too many changes to list. All features are documented below. Following options are supported: Option Description --------------- ------------------------------------------------- /? Display help information /D Display the path of each subdirectory /F Display the full path of each file /L Display detailed listing of space occupied. This option reports the true disk amount used as well as the amount of actual data in the file. It also reports the amount of wasted cluster space from the files. /N Disable sub-directory recursion /R Force sub-driectory recursion /Tdrive Specify target drive for copy sizes. This allows you to figure out how much space the files would take on another drive. Very usefull for moving things around. /V Display version info The amount of space actually used by files is reported now. Previously only the logical EOF of files were reported. This program is shareware as follows: $5 - You can legally use all DOS versions forever. I will not send you any upgrades - you have to get them yourself. $10 - You can legally use all versions (including soon to be released windows version) forever. I will mail you the next 2 major upgrades (in addition to the Window's version when available). Checks accepted - disk will be mailed after check clears. Multiple copy discaounts available - contact me. If you have any suggestions for improvement (regardless of whether you're registered or not) please send them to me.
